Illustrator Jane Porter lives in London. She completed an MA in illustration and animation at Kingston University in 2006 and since then has been working on commissions, exhibiting and selling work, developing children’s book ideas and undertaking residencies in schools. Maxwell and Myrtle are inspired by her son and daughter.

She is particularly fond of drawing animals and has two pet rabbits. She also likes mountains, being outdoors and everything to do with the river Wandle.

Her next exhibition will be ‘Compendium’, a solo show at The Old Sweet Shop gallery in Southfields, in October 2009 on a theme of games.
